From the 1950s, this bike has all original Ducati engine kit on a British unrestored chassis from the same time period. The bike has a center stand and mechanical brakes very cool to see in person how it works. This bike is up and running transmission shifts from first to second gear very smoothly but it might need a little tinkering for its good to ride safely.
Ducati Cucciolo was a 4-stroke clip-on engine for motorized bicycles conceived during and shortly after World War II by Turin Lawer, Aldo Farinelli and developed with a self- taught engineer, Aldo LeoniCucciolo. 
Manufacturer Ducati, Production 1946-1958, Class Motorized Bicycle Engine, Engine size 48cc (2.9cu in) pullrod single, Top Speed 40MPH, Weight 98LBS (dry), During the war Aldo Farinelli began working with the small Turinese firm Siata with the idea of developing a small engine that could be mounted on a bicycle. Farinelli's and Leone's first prototype was running on the streets of Turin in Autumn of 1944. The yapping sound of the engine's short stubby exhaust inspired the Cucciolo (Little puppy) for the motor. Weighing a little over 17 pounds and giving 180 miles per US Gallon when installed in a bicycle.
